Good Afternoon!
Our August meeting was a great success! Thank you to the Foundation
Surgery Affiliates for hosting us and to Sharon Simmons, her staff at FSA
and Lyn Leffler for our program. For our members who missed this great
program, Sharon and Lyn were video taped and you can soon find the two 20
minute videos on our website in the Member Section at www.astdokc.org .
All of the proposed changes to our Constitution, Bylaws and Policies and
Procedures were accepted at the August meeting. You can find these on our
website in the Members section under the Core Documents. If you have any
questions about these documents, please let me know.
Our next board meeting is Friday, September 1 from 7:30am to 9:00am in the
Integris Learning Center, Suite 875, 5100 N. Brookline. (West of May
Avenue on 50th Street.) Everyone is welcome! If you would like to

I am very excited to tell you about our next meeting. You will be hearing
from the Central Oklahoma Chapter of ASTD Trainer of the Year for 2005, Bev
Wood. Bev will be talking about Accelerated Learning. This is an evening
meeting on Tuesday, September 12th and will be at Cattlemen?s Steak
House at 1309 S. Agnew with registration beginning at 5:30pm. Please
pre-register for the meeting through the website (www.astdokc.org ). (If
you prefer a veggie plate, please specify that when you register.) You
can also read more about the topic on the website.
Well, it is that time again. I am talking about selection of officers for
2007. If you would like to volunteer for an office or would like to talk
about the possibility, please call me or any of the board members. We
also have committee opportunities available. If you have thought about
getting more active with our chapter and feel you only have a few hours to
donate, maybe a committee is for you. Call me about the possibilities. Be
watching your email for more information on the board positions.
Since my President Message only goes to those who are registered on the
website, please ask your friends who are members if they receive it. If
they do not presently receive the message, please ask them to go to the
website and register. As a member, you have access to the Member section
with your website log on. If you have any difficulty with the website,
