We voted to change the mission statement of our chapter. The new mission of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of ASTD . . . Advancing the Learning and Development Professions to enhance performance." Thank you to all who attended and casted your vote.
Our upcoming March meeting will take place on March 14th in the Economic Development Center, room 114, on the Metro Tech Springlake campus. I?ll be talking about Crucial Conversations and what WE bring to the table when we have one. Registration begins at 5:15pm with the meal beginning at 5:45pm. We are committed to getting you out by 7:30pm! You may register and pay on the website at www.astdokc.org. If you are planning to pay at the door, please pre-register on the website.
Our first volunteer project is supporting the OETA by answering the phones on March 8th. They provide the training and Hideaway Pizza will be providing supper for us. As the evening passes, they provide popcorn, M&Ms (plain and peanut), Fish crackers, ice cream, coffee, water, soda, etc. It?s great fun! Oh and did I mention the food ? all evening long? Of course, they don?t MAKE you eat; it?s there if you want it. Please let Kate Beavin,

Our February meeting at the Express University was a great success! It was good to see what they are doing in the way of training and how they are using technology.
