Ad Description: Cox Communications is looking for a Learning Consultant that Takes part in conducting training programs and constructing training manuals and aids. Administers training programs to ensure the availability of licensed and qualified personnel. Designs training and developmental programs and processes for employee skill enhancement and career development that target individuals as well as groups. Analyzes and determines training needs and develops customized training programs and/or identifies
-Directs the analysis, recommendations, and implementation of short- and long-term workforce planning strategies and programs that are consistent with CCI's business plan objectives and effectiveness for sustaining a continuity of operations, employee development, and workforce renewal;
2-Conducts needs assessments and oversees the design, development, and administration of training and development systems, including education programs, technical and core competency development models, career development processes, and leadership development programs across functional and geographic areas of the business;
3-Partners with Corporate to ensure alignment between corporate and system talent development programs;
4-Ensures that all technical and core competency trainings are consistent with employee and organizational development goals in order to improve organizational effectiveness;
5-Identifies key business problems and designs training solutions to address those issues;
6-Investigates available training methods and procedures to determine the most effective manner in which to conduct programs; administers programs either by personally conducting training sessions, assigning specific training activities to other company personnel, or selecting appropriate vendors to conduct training;
7-Manages the design, development, and administration of organizational development systems, such as workforce development analysis, orientation process, corporate university system, performance management process, and succession planning;
8-Coordinates the preparation of aids/materials used in conjunction with various programs;
9-Oversees the design, implementation and administration of computer based training software and for training tracking; maintains records on the progress and performance of those involved in training programs;
10-Direct the day-to-day operations of T&OD operations, including the availability of appropriate facilities and equipment for staff, performing transactions for assigned staff, and coaching and development of staff to ensure high quality delivery of services;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 7 years working in a training & development department:
- Identifying and tracking performance gaps and training needs across an organization.
- Analyzing, designing and delivering training solutions.
- Facilitating/instructing a broad range of training courses.
- Scheduling, pricing, marketing and evaluating training courses and programs.
- Sourcing and selecting third-party training vendors to support training programs.
- BS/BA in related field preferred.
